Active Future was created with one clear purpose: to improve lives through movement.

Our business is built on years of research, testing and practical experience, understanding why children become active—and, more importantly, why so many stop.

The statistics are alarming. By the age of 16, around 80% of young people have disengaged from regular sport and physical activity, with many never returning to an active lifestyle.

We believe that has to change.

Our mission is simple:

To inspire more children and young people to enjoy movement for life.

A Different Way of Thinking

Traditional sport plays an important role, but it doesn't engage every child.

That's why Active Future has developed a unique range of innovative activities, events and programmes designed to reach the children who are often left behind.

Alongside our school programmes, holiday activities, funded projects and community events, we create opportunities for every child to experience the physical, social and emotional benefits of movement—regardless of their sporting ability.

Creating Moments That Matter

One of our proudest innovations has been the Fortnite Championship.

Rather than asking children to leave gaming behind, we used their passion for gaming to encourage meaningful movement.

During the 2018 and 2019 programmes:

• More than 20,000 children took part.

• Over 25% of participants had a disability or additional need.

• Every participant completed significant amounts of physical activity throughout the event, with many covering over 20km of movement in a single day.

The programme attracted national recognition and sponsorship from NERF, and has since evolved into inter-school competitions, providing thousands more children with opportunities to represent their schools and experience the enjoyment of movement.
